Looking Up

Hi there friends.

I am still not ready to come back, my mind is just not in it. But I know many of you have become (strangely enough) good friends, and are worried about me. I wanted to let you know, I’m doing much better. We had a big scare, our lives will never look quite the same. But we’re all okay, and beginning to re-enter regular life.

I’ll be back soon to tell you the whole long story.

Thank you so much for all your kind words, good thoughts, and monetary love. Yup, you’re right– this is a good time for a babysitter. If only I could find one.

  1. Didn’t expect to hear back so soon, so glad things are looking up!! I’ll keep thinking good thoughts that everything turns good as fast as it can!

  2. Oh, no, I have been worried about you guys… thank you for letting us know, still sending my wishes for strength and courage your way.

  3. Hey CJ: I’ve been behind in reading your posts (I saved them all to my Apronstringz folder) so I just now got to the note from your friend about your absence. I’m sending you lots of love and light (as in the movie Eat, Pray, Love Buddhist’ philosophy) and hoping and praying you make it through whatever life trial you have come across. I’m always amazed at how surprised I am when my life seems to get derailed. If anything, I SHOULD be surprised by how long the breaks are in between these trials. After all, life seems to guarantee one thing: change. Nothing is permanent and we DO NOT have ANY control, contrary to what our little egos tell us. I seem to have to learn that lesson over and over again. Anyway, i digress. I hope whatever trials have befallen you and your family, that you all come out relatively unscathed and healthy and whole.

After burying my husband’s Grandmother, father, mother and two aunts in the last five years I have seen first hand how traumatic life can be.

I only hope that your suffering is less and shorter.

Big hugs and lots of love, Terri.

  4. I want to say something encouraging and friendly, but my words, they are all dumb. Let me substitute eloquent well-wishes with a “<3" instead.

  5. Hang in there, real life is much more important than this virtual one, but know that we are all wishing you well. Hope to hear more good news from you soon!
